Five Children Orphaned After Teen Gunman Shoots Dead Mum And Dad In 'Fake Car Sale'

Kyree Brown, 18, has been charged with the murder of Joseph and Jossline Roland after the couple were shot and killed in Colorado, US, on August 14 after they turned up to buy a car.





A teenager who reportedly lured a couple into buying a car only to shoot them dead and then rob them has been charged.

Kyree Brown, 18, allegedly arrange the fake sale with the mum and dad of five online.

Joseph Roland, 39, and his wife Jossline Roland, 40, were shot in Colorado, US, while trying to buy an SUV.

Kyree posted an advert for the 2017 Toyota Rav4 on app letgo and agreed a cash sale of $3,000 with the pair.

They took the money with them before they were asked to return to his apartment to complete the deal.

But the concerned pair decided against making the purchase.

Brown is accused of pointing his gun at the man while the couple were still in their car and demanded the money - but they attempted to drive off.

He then 'opened fire at them both and robbed them of the money'.

CBS Denver reports that the parents died within five minutes of each other after being taken to hospital.

Police eventually detained the teenager on August 27.

The murder stunned the community who are now rallying around the family.

A fundraiser has been launched to help look after the five young children they left behind.



"Anyone who knew Joe and Jossline would remember they were always the first to help," it read.

"They were the best people you could know and their door was always open to friends and family.

'We would like to raise money for their children. No amount of money can replace what they’ve lost, but maybe we can pull together and provide some financial security for them."
