Kirstie Hannah Flood, 29, is accused of "pummelling" victim Fallon Fridley in a vicious fatal attack.

Detectives also found Flood had searched "what type of people enjoy abusing other people’s children", it is claimed.

Flood, from Georgia, told police the little girl had hit her head on a slide but was subsequently arrested following Fallon's violent death last Wednesday.

Kirstie Hannah Flood has been branded 'evil' by the little girl's mom.

Medics found her skull was fractured and she had devastating injuries to her liver, spleen and colon.

Mom Kristin Fridley Gantt, who had known Flood for five years, told WSB-TV : “It’s like this evil was in front of my face for years and I never saw it."

The toddler died at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital in Georgia as a result of her injuries.

She “suffered severe injuries that resulted in her death during her care by the suspect," the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Flood has been chargedwith felony murder, malice murder, aggravated battery and first-degree child cruelty.

Sandy Springs police said in a statement: "Detectives learned the child had been entrusted into the care of the suspect, 29-year-old Kirstie Flood.

Flood allegedly googled "urge to beat a child that's not yours".

"Further, an autopsy performed on the child revealed she suffered severe injuries that resulted in her death during her care by the suspect."

A GoFundMe appeal has been set up by friends Samantha Shelton and Robbin Yeagera to raise money for the bereaved family.

The fundraising page states: "The babysitter murdered sweet, innocent, Fallon, making a parent’s nightmare even more horrific.

"Fallon was a beautiful little girl with her whole life ahead of her.

"She was only two years old. It is so hard to make sense of her cruel, tragic and untimely loss."
